Chemung River Walks and Talks Chemung River and You 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Join Scott Rodbaugh, from the DEC, and Jim Pfiffer for a discussion about the river. We will begin at the Chemung Valley History Museum and walk to a point along the Chemung River. The River Walk and Talk is free and will last one hour. Susquehanna Sojourn- Chemung River The Susquehanna River Sojourn will run tributary Chemung River kicking off in Corning, NY and ending at Mehoopany, PA. Paddle by day and camp by night. Join us for one day, two, or the whole trip! During the Elmira portion of the sojourn, we’ll camp out at the Grove Street close to the site of the infamous Elmira Civil War Prison Camp and an access point on the Chemung River Basin Water Trail.
