Ever wonder why the ring-billed gulls are here?  Join Bill Ostrander of the Audubon Society as he presents an up-close view of ring-billed gull island.
We will begin at the Chemung Valley History Museum and walk to a point along the Chemung River.  The River Walk and Talk is free and will last one hour.  Space is limited to 20 people, please call 734-4167 to make reservations.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a lunch and portable chair, if desired.

During a Centennial Lecture, artist Kathleen Huddle will share poignant stories regarding the history of St. Joseph's Hospital. Originally written by Sister Ruth, one of the seven founding sisters of St. Joseph's, these remembrances, along with historic newspaper accounts, inspired Huddle to create an original painting, "Remember the Mission."
